Just wondering if there are people here who are wanting to icon some comics themselves, but don't quite know where to start? So figured I'd post an intro to comic book iconning, plus some tips & tricks.

I'm on photoshop, and that's all I've ever know, so sorry if you're on a different software. Hopefully it translates somewhat. (and if you don't have any software, there are free options out there, such as photopea, a free browser program)

The Icon Request Fest is off to a strong start, with many requests and fills already, but we'd love for more of you to drop in. scans_daily has made it very easy to find panels of your favorite characters, and if not surely google will come to your aid. If you're thinking of filling requests but might not know exactly how to go about it, I've posted two different tutorials on my process, here and here.
